Due to the combo of troubles with the forum's database and the problem with texts that got cluttered up during the transfers between different board-software:

From the thread "I'm thinkin bout startin an FTP" I have put together a pdf-document which might serve as inspiration and introduction for anyone who is about to launch a private ftp-server.

Find it here: h**p://www.freecorns.netfirms.com

Edit: spelling...

Hey unicorn,

Great work. I'm glad you like the idea of taking your thoughts and placing them into a PDF file. This is great!!!.. Now we just need mirrors. :) Make this FTP setup file very easy to get to. Does your hosting have a time limit or bandwith limit?

Anyhow I hope catch my message? If you don't understand just let me know.

Thanks,
Cyberion

Thanks .unicorn,

This is really nice

@Cyberion: The host (netfirms) might be good or bad, I don't care that much. In case it goes down or if they screw things up it's easy to place the stuff somewhere else. I can't imagine this little pdf ever can hit any bandwidth limits.
I find sharing of knowledge as important as any other kind of sharing and I'll see to that it will be available. It's easy to change the link in the first post.

@All: Thank you for the thank-yous. When making texts like this one it's always very nice and encouraging to get response. A thank you is nice, an ideea for another tutor is nice, and best of all is to get errors pointed out.
