I keep my Outlook Express message store folder on a separate, data partition. Thus I don't lose messages if I need to restore my main partition from an image taken earlier.

Under SP2 RC2, OE no longer notes there is an existing store in the location you specify for a change of message store folder and asks whether you wish to keep the existing folder - it assumes you do not and overwrites the existing store with, in my case, the single welcome to OE message. Thank you MS for munching all my existing mail.

Fortunately I have a backup which is only 15 days old so I haven't lost everything but the system in OE SP2 RC2 means you cannot use the built-in folder change facility to point a new occurrence of OE at an existing store - you have to use the registry instead.
