I have a friend with Win XP Home edition. When we create a new user, this user get a copy of all the files in "My Documents" belonging to the Administrator, but have no access to these files. Neither does this new user have access to any other file(s).
Have anybody seen a problem like this before, even better have a solution? Ursula ;) |
Wich rights the new user account have ?
This can be the problem |
The idea was that this user should only have regular user rights, not Administrator rights.

But was is the problem - or rather - what way do you want a new user account work by default?
Check the folder Deafualt User in root:\Document and Settings and adjust shortcuts to your needs. See if you like the situation better, I suspect there will be some right settings you want to adjust to. |
