it's "leaked" beta :P

the final won't be out till september...

The final won't be out til late 2002 or early 2003. September 4th MS is going to release a PUBLIC BETA for all to download. I suspect THAT will be the next beta "leak" that we'll see of WMP9.

nope...not for the moment.

I use the beta WM9 and must tell you..guys...that this is a nice version of WM :) No crashes or anything..it runs perfect :)

New Features:
- mini player in the taskbar
- DVD-Ripper
- compatible with DSP effects
- "Advanced Edit" for id3-Tags
- new playlist options
- Services ?!

the this is a beta and as Dimitrie 2k says, it has very cool new features WMA VBR is a newly added codec.
but have to say this beta has bugs on it still. once the player started overwriting the ripped audio file and only the last track was left. once you close and open it's awright though.
that beta release is illegal to have as well, but who cares :) the publicly released bug will have less bugs :) i am eargerly waiting for that :)
