After upgrading to ver 1.3 of Spybot, everytime I go to Neowin.com, it alerts me to some "Avenue A" crap that Neowin is trying to sneak onto my system. It sure seemed like a helpful site, but it's a "devil in disguise". Thank you at Betaone for NOT trying to hijack my computer.

I will try right now to go to this website ;)
I don't receive any warning from Spybot browsing the Neowin.com <_< |
I just checked back at Neowin, no more Avenue A messages, but my post regarding the subject on their site has been deleted. One thing I don't need more of is spam, and they aren't helping a bit.

Here is Neowin's reply:
its a cookie from an advertiser. Give me a break. This doesn't even belong here, so.... Whatever |

![]() site donors we continue to have an ad free site. Thank you! :notworthy: I think this thread might fit better in the Internet Security section if you don't care. :bye: moving... |

In Spybot ver 1.3, you are able to "Display Dialog When Blocking", which I did just to see which sites are suspect, I have changed the setting to "Block all bad pages silently". The new version runs a TSR also.
