How do I get sygate to allow me to ping myself or my ftp server??

Whenever I try pinging myself I get 100 percent packet loss and my server does not exist at my IP address...

I can't seem to find an allow pinging tick box in sygate.

Zonealarm used to have such an option.

Also, I had to uninstall the latest zonealarm because it takes ages loading up and the icon never shows up on the takbar even though it shows up as a running device in taskmanager??

Any ideas about that problem anyone??

right clik on Sygate Task Bar icon -> clik on 'advanced rules'
there u can add all sort of rules that WILL override any protecting filter.

be carefull wat u put there... ;)

the right hand side, second option, there's a "enable anti-IP spoofing".

uncheck that option so it's disabled.
