For some odd reason i am unable to install Dirextx 9 and Windows Media player 9.

The message I get after loading the initial installation setup file (the small file!) is:
"Error creating process < C:\Documents~1\...Temp\IXP00.tmp\dxwsetup.exe>. Reason: The system cannot find the specified path.

What going on?

Try deleting all temp. files.

And extract all install files to a new directory and run setup.

If that does not work then I recommend using a program clike crap clearner or Registry Cleaner.

However, none of the steps you advised worked. I used both registry cleaners and both of them removed all the invalid/error files they found.

Any other steps I can take?
