Anyone have any success running a Linux Terminal Server? I am thinking about running one in a production environment and was wondering of anybody's experiences doing something similar....
Any thoughts are fully appreciated :) TIA More info gleamed here: http://www.ltsp.org/ /JD |
UNIX, and I assume Linux also, fully supports client access from other workstations (any OS) using Telnet or X-Windows. Unlike Windows it has always been a client server OS.

Thanks sswhite :)
I'm googling for some resources on x windows - anybody know of any good ones? TIA /JD |
Will you be using Windows boxes to connect to the linux server, or will the workstations run linux too?
If you are looking for a Windows X client, try eXceed. Most Linux distros have X support built in. |
Danke Zone :)
Win Boxes.... I have some thin clients running wince though, they may be a problem :o Looking now :) /JD |
I think that you should take a look at Xorg (1). For the thinclients you can try Xserver (2).
