I just installed Windows XP and it's missing the java applets. The Microsoft web doesn't support java anymore and deleted this thing. I was searching for any download and I got lucky with this link:
hxxp://pcmedicdirect.com/downloads/Win%20XP/XP%20HOME%20UPDATES/Microsoft%20Virtual%20Machine/

At this time maybe you don't need this, but save it just in case!
