How much would you pay for an XBox "box"?
Some people need to read the descriptions before they bid on ebay :D http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=8101010 615 |
 $100+ for just a case.
Not to mention since the seller says "Postal insurance: Not offered" the seller might not even ship the item & still keep the money. I never bid on any item that the seller will not allow insurace. |
Even so, without insurance the buyer is still screwed. Although it looks like this guy is screwed with or without insurance.

lol what a idiot...haha

You guys sure it was even for the case? I think it was just for the box that the xbox came in :D :D :D

Just a little input on Ebay, I was looking for a PS 1 game called Xcom UFO defense for my other half, and I saw it on Ebay for $50.00. I thought cool most places if you can actually find it goes for around $200.00 Well, I wanted the game so I WON the bid so to speak, well they wanted a check. No fricken way was I sending a check, How are you suppose to know they are going to send this stuff to you after you send the money. Well I declined the offer and I tell you what, the seller went ape crazy. He emailed me for almost three days, saying you are obligated to buy this game and so on and so forth, so finally I had to block him from my mail. Maybe I screwed up and should not have bid but really? Where is the guarantee of my product? I went on Amazon, and mind you I have heard real bad things about them running up peoples cards and such. So I made sure I only had the amount on my CC for the game so they could not charge extras on the cards. Can anyone explain the maddness about ebay? Was I in the wrong? Any comments would help for future shopping needs. I know this has nothing to do with Xbox I was just curious. One other question, we use our Xbox for DVD's as well, can that burn the motor? And why wont Xbox play MP3's? Peace Sunfire |
Sunfire,
I think you made a good move. I got hosed on ebay for $600 and let me tell you I will never even look at their site again. In the future I will never pay for anything except on CC ;) Buyer Beware is always true  :) /JD |
Always check the feedback... never buy stuff from people with low feedback.. I've never gotten screwed on ebay.. and I've sent checks for over $1000 US...
|
I've never had any problems on ebay, used checks, money orders and paypal (both CC and checks). But I do try to buy stuff from the ones that use paypal and have high feedback with very little negative feedback.

Yeah, I checked the guy out pretty good via the feedback and all - I guess the timing on my end was just off - after I sent the money order (big mistake, I know, should have thrown some flags right then) the guy folded up shop and moved on......with my cash as well.... :(
Live and learn I guess... /JD |
