Does anyone know if Longhorn 4074 includes the relatively recent security patches to protect it from the lsass.exe exploit used by sasser?

How about version 4053? I am currently using it in the DMZ, which may not be such a good idea (however my crappy router becomes unstable if I use emule via port mapping).

But to answer your question. ;)

Check out Msasn1.dll. Make sure it is at least version 5.1.2600.1274

I have version 5.1.2600.1362 if you want it. May even be newer than longhorn 4074.

I dont have 4074 installed yet so dont know since you can not open just the i386 folder like in winxp. :( Damn install.wim.

It's 6.0.4074.0... but the version number will not be meaningful... all longhorn DLLs have a build of 6.0.4074.x, even the ones which are older than the 6.0.2600.x counterparts.

If anyone else is interested, I think I answered my own question, the risky way ;)

After running it for two weeks in the DMZ I still haven't become infected.
