Had trouble making a back up copy of a couple DVD's I own that show 4 different main movies. The first two are the same size and the second one says "Angle 2". The second two are a slightly different size and the second one of that duo also says "angle 2". If I rip just one of them (4 GB) I get no sound from the back up.
Anybody tell me why there are so many "main movies" on one DVD? and what "angle 2" means? Just found one that has 3 angles. What is all this? |
Hey rikytik,
Some DVD movies contain a special feature called Mutliple Angles. While watching the movie, the user has the ability to switch to a different angle, which essentially just shows you what's going on through a different camera angle. I personally never used this feature, but in some cases, it may be pretty cool to see what's going on in another angle... I am not sure of the proper way of copying such media with multiple angles being most of my DVD's do not have this feature. So I won't be able to help you on that front. But I do hope that I helped you understand what the multiple angle files are used for... -SlickVic78 |
I take it because of the "multiple" angles the DVD is more than the standard 4.3gb in size??
I would say you should use something like DVD Squeeze/decryptor Or CloneDVD, where you can "choose" what to include or "rip" out..... |
Cool. Thanks. I had no idea about that. For now, I used Nero Recode 2 to squeeze first angle into one DVD. Works fine, but I'll look forward to checking out the multiple angles on the originals.
