Sounds like "hype", but its not, click the icon above. In fact its the best P2P phone software on the internet. Its free and its clearer than the regular telephone. To read about Skype and system requirements click the link below : http://www.skype.com/download.html This software will in fact have the "phone companies" worried, all those years of "gouging" is about to come to an end. I will not be surprised if they try to find a way through the courts to shut down SKYPE, but I think Skype will prevail.

Please note you will need a newer computer to use this excellent program. The faster the machine the better the program runs. You will also need a headset with a microphone attached and you are ready.

Step 1. Download the software to a location where you can find it

Step 2. Close your browser window

Step 3. Locate the software using windows explorer or any other way that you prefer

Step 4. Double click the "skype installer" accept the agreement and follow what it asks you to do. Make sure to un-check "Start Skype" when computer starts. ( You don't need it to start every time you re-start the computer)

Step 5. Once you have the Skype software pop-up. Click on "I want to create a new Skype account"

Step 6. Enter your user name, it can be your real name or a variation of it

Step 7. Choose a password ( something you can remember)

Step 8. Give a "hotmail" or a web e-mail address, check off "I accept the agreement" and then click on "finish".

Step 9. Next it will ask you to fill in a personal profile. I suggest that you do not put too much information on this form. Just your city, state and country will be good enough and then click "update" ( You do not want "crank" calls).

Step 10. Next click on the "Friends tab" and search for a friend or family add them and then call them by clicking the "green Phone" icon to connect.. (Make sure they have Skype installed too and that they are on line).



***** After completing your call click the "red phone icon" to hang up. Also you will find a little green Skype icon located near your clock. Right click and select "Quit"

Skype is ok for Voice in the Net....not ok is with VoIP from PC--->Phone.
Why not running to a Phone (PSTN) ?

I will have to test this one ;)
