I've been thinking ripping a PAL DVD and burning to NTSC would be simple given all the fancy software out there, but.....

Does anybody know how? if you can?

Rip the DVD to your HDD with DVDShrink or your fav ripping tool then re-author the vobs to NTSC. Not a particularily hard job but it can be time consuming :)

Try looking at http://www.doom9.org, i'm sure they will have a full guide for you :)

Dumb me, DoG, I got it bassackwards.

I want to burn PAL DVD's from NTSC. Going to visit my grandkids in Italy in April and wanted to take some American kiddie classics in English for them.

I understand that going from NTSC to PAL pesents a problems since PAL has more color data and also different frame rate.
