my Current AGP data rate not optimal, i.e. less than chipset?s maximum AGP data rate. E.g. current AGP data rate is 1x while the chipset and the AGP card both support 2x. You should get better performance with a higher data rate but this depends on the application.
Fix: First, use the PCI & AGP Information module to confirm that the AGP card also supports the maximum chipset data rate. If it does not, don?t worry about it. For non-Intel chipsets, make sure you install the latest version of their AGP mini-drivers. You should update the video card drivers as well. Some non-Intel chipsets can only work in 1x mode with some video cards.

can anyone help me here how does one change this setting????????/to 2x and yes my pci supports this>>>>>>>> tks BloodRunner

Hmmm ....
This puzzles me, as your PCI dont have anything to do with your AGP.

We need some more input from you to solve this :

1 - What mainboard are you using ? ( make/model )
2 - What drivers do you have installed for your chipset ( mainboard ) ?
3 - What video card do you have ? ( make/model )
4 - What drivers do you have installed for your videocard ?

What program did you use to get the info you posted ?

btw : Welcome to B1 :)

Um yea bear that does sound odd.

But anyways if your using an nvida card u can open nvida adv. and go to agp settings and change it.

Think you need 53.03 drivers from nvidia.com

Anyways u just right click on the desktop and choose propties and settings tab. click adv. click your card tab. and then go to agp settings on the left side and change it.

And yea a agp setting should be in your bios. Enter bios using f1, delete, or maybe f2. or maybe even f12. Maybe its hidden in your bios. U can try to use ctrl f1 and see what happens.

Hope that helps. yea more info is needed like bearcat said.

cya,
Will
