Alright, If i get a stick of Corsair XMS Extreme DDR400 (512MB) and already have 2 sticks of DDR400 (dont know the brand...but its 256MB.)

Would the 2 sticks of 256 run in dual channel if the stick of 512 was added to it? I know that If I just have the 256's in there it will run in dual channel if the mobo supports it. But what happens if I put the 512 in there? I also figured out why I have random shutdowns, its the PC2700 memory that I have in my computer, its running with the DDR400 and it the new ram that's in my old box dont like pc2700.

At anyrate, what would happen when I added the 512 ddr400 to a dual channel setup with 2x 256's?
