RANT...
I took my palm pilot off the cradle. Turned it on.. and had to do the calibration setup... Huh?? I never had to do this after the first time, unless I wanted to. I lost eveything in my palm. Gladly all my assignments are written down on my day planner. Another one where technology is given the thumbs down. :( Anyone know if this is just a glitch?? It sucked but its a good thing to have to rebuild things. The second time around they are stronger. :) Plus, I might install the Palm Desktop on my computer NOW. I didn't think I needed to. :) But I was wrong. Thank you for listening to my rant. BACK YOUR STUFF UP NOW!!! |
Hey Cyberion,
Could the battery have died? Or perhaps there is a glitch with the battery itself? Usually if the battery loses all of its charge (perhaps do to the lack of use for a while, or forgetting to charge it), all the memory that is stored gets wiped out. This was the case with my Compaq Ipaq. I always made it a habit to hot sync all my stuff to my computer just in case something like this happens... I too learned the hard way... But it is a good lesson - make sure the unit is charged, and be sure that you hot sync every night! ;) -SlickVic78 |
I had a Palm too and it did the same thing. If I took the batteries out to change them, I lost everything and had to update from the backup on my pc. What a pain. If yer batteries run out while u were on the road, ya had to wait till i got home to update the database. Had to always start off from scratch. Not sure what went wrong with it as I bought a dell Pocket PC. ...griz ;)
