I've been capturing and burning to DVD 15 digital video tapes my wife made over the past few years with her Canon digital video cam. I used primarily Ulead Movie Factory version 3.0 to capture and burn. it worked really well, except in a couple of cases where it stopped recording midway through the tape. Don't know why. In those cases, I used Pinnacle Studio 8.4 to do the job. It worked well and I also like Studio as a means to copy clips from videos to collate later. In the 15 tapes my wife made, I see a dozen scenes I'd like to extract and make into a short version that would be useful to see again. Other wise, <zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz>
It's really been a learning experience and I'm impressed with the new digital software offerings availble to us now.
