What program do you recommend to combat email spam using Outlook Express?

You are going to get a lot of good tips DL. Me? I gave up trying all the spam filters I tried with Outlook Express. Musta tried at least 10 and they were of varying effectiveness.
By far the best is the spam filter in Outlook 2003. Although I don't need all the Outlook 2003 bells and whistles, I've converted all my 4 pc's over to Outlook 2003. Getting about 120 a day and Outlook filters all but maybe 3-5 a day. I don't think you can do better than that. Good luck. I'll be interested in the replys to your post. |
I agree with rikytik. Outlook 2003 is quite capable of doing what it is required to do. As for my email client, I use Outlook 2003 and it does the job for me.
To answer you question, I have tried Norton AntiSpam 2004. It is quite good for Outlook Express, although it causes Outlook 2003 to crash. Then what Outlook 2003 do is, disable Norton AntiSpam. Outlook Express seems to work nicely with Norton AntiSpam. That's froom me. Would be interested to see what others recommend too. Cheers, McoreD |
