It works now.
And to answer the question; Yes, so they say (and they show how to do it also). |
It works for me too now. Might be the server down when I tried.
However it hasn't got the information I am looking for. It says "Setting up IIS 6 in Windows XP". That's impossible according to the current guide in that site. Windows XP has IIS 5.1 not 6.0. I have already installed IIS 5.1 in Windows XP, the same way they have said. I was just interested if we could install IIS 6.0 in Windows XP. I couldn't find anywhere a standalone installer for IIS 6.0. May be Microsoft is limiting it to only Windows Server 2003. |
As far as i can find out you can't install IIS 6 in XP. BUT i may have an idea about using NTSwitch and my 2k3 server disk :D
|
hmmm... too risky even if you could. just use apache! :D
|
i tried it ;)
it was hell funny how Windows XP acted after that. The Start Button took the whole length of the screen, and lots of GUI errors and misplacements. LOL. Explorer was very unstable. Managed to get to cmd somehow and ran the TweakNT again to convert it to Workstation. Phew. :D |
LMAO :D Don't you just love windoze :P
