Dose any one know a good site that can download Any verson of FTP

another thing dose anyone know how to upload stuff

EX.( Upload all these files in ASCII mode to your CGI directory (usually /cgi-bin or /cgi-local) using any FTP client. All files must be in the same folder.

Which OS do you use?

i. Windows actually comes with its own.. though text based.. Its still works. :)
ii. Mac OS 10 ( I think ) -> one comes included, if not Fetch from FetchSoftworks
iii. Linux - It comes with its own clients built in to many of the many distributions. However you can still download any.

I don't know how else to help ya.. :(

I really wish I knew what operation system you were using to upload your files. Just the OS, nothing else. :)

EDIT:
PS. I hope your post is not a float through experience, as there are many people that are waiting and more then willing to share their knowledge with you. Congrats on your 1st post. :)

Hey Cuong972,

Like what Cyberion asked - which OS are you using? If you are using Windows, then I would suggest what richardc2000 mentioned for you to download - SmartFTP. It is a free FTP program that works really well.

To answer your other question about uploading files in ASCII mode - All FTP programs have buttons on the top of their interface that allows you to either upload your files in ASCII/BINARY/AUTO. It is usually set to AUTO as a default. Just click on the ASCII button before uploading those files to you CGI-BIN to be sure they are being uploaded in ASCII mode.

Feel free to get back to us if you have any further questions/concerns. :)

Good luck!

If you asking for someone to pass illegal software with we DO NOT allow that here.

If your really looking for a FTP program, the members above mentioned some program you could look into getting. I'm even sure our members would help you set one up and test it, but first you have to get one and give us the information (OS) and such as requested above.

richardc2000 6th Jul 03 08:50 PM

Try checking out this Geocites Help section on UPLOADS
_http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/geo/upload/

they suggest Easy Upload - the upload page is here:
_http://us.geocities.yahoo.com/v/ul.html

It doesn't look like you need anything else.

I just checked out Yahoo! Geocities, and it says that the free accounts do not have FTP access... You will need to upload your files via the web browser. richardc2000 has already pointed out the link to the Easy Upload site.

I've used geocities, still do here and there.

It's easy but the webpages you can make are simple looking see:

If you want a really easy and simple program to pass files without using a third party server try file share pro at:

Code:

http://www.wfshome.com/
It's an http file server and works well, plus it's easy to use.
