Hey alas,

It would have been nice to have this info while telling the joke to help others, like myself, understand the punch line - which I am still having issues getting the punch line. How were we supposed to know both guys are rich and famous...? Besides, what does this have to do with a sweepstakes? LOL

Somehow I still don't get it...

@ alas.

Sorry M8, I also still do not grasp the punch line. :( Maybie I have been working on my computer too long without taking a break. ;)

Hey alas,

I am sorry, but I give up. :( I still don't get how all this has to do with rich and famous guys? The way you told the joke makes it seem like the second guy is hard of hearing - but then again - they are in a restaurant, and they are supposed to be ordering... So how would the second guy come up with saying what he says?

Are other people seeing it the way I am? Or am I the only one. Maybe I am just looking way too far into this... Believe me - I want to get the joke, but... I just don't.

but what about the chicken? did the chicken make it out that faculty office in time? or did the pencil go too far to make it back in time for the last episode of Friends?

GSD 19th Jun 03 01:11 PM

The way I was raised, an attempt to make people laugh is a positive character trait. The criticism and disection of such an attempt is not.

No one is knocking alas for telling the joke. It just seems that way too much was left out in order for the majority of us to get the punch line. The way I was raised, if you don't understand - ask questions... ;)

Same here GSD, but we also have the right to discuss as well. No one is knocking alas for making the attempt at humor, they just wanted to understand the joke

*MO* 20th Jun 03 01:12 PM

so the chicken did make it out right?

billybob3 20th Jun 03 03:51 PM

No MO, but the Hipo made it out with just a broken leg.
