Seti at Home used to crash my Win98 PC with it's screensaver. I haven't tried it lately in XP. It sure is a worthy cause to donate your extra CPU cycles to! Go Bezerkeley!

COOl, now i'm a bonefied computer geek, along with Seti installed! :D

I've been running SETI@home for about three years now and I don't plan on stopping now. Over 1000 units completed--pretty good considering that for 95% of that time, I was running the program on my PII 350MHz machine. :D

1 UNIT COMPLETED! WOOOHOOO!
Now, it's about 1/4 done with the second UNIT! OH YA! :D :) :kicking:

guessing i can use same user name for both and get credit for both?

Are any of you members of groups on the seti site?

Just reloaded it, and it still has 65 units that I processed from 2 years ago! Seems OK so far, the screen saver part of it used to kill my PC with 98SE.

Yes, you can use one account on multiple computers, according to the Seti@Home site. That's one way to rack up units faster!

I didn't think that there were any others here interested! Fun! Just remember that in this field we will never be anything but very small. The figures above places me as:

Btw: I run the commandline version. More effective and you also don't have to use their screensaver. Then also check out SetiHide and make a set and forget setup.
