hi guys
does any one know how to make a bootable Windows 2003 (all versions) CD Rom Thanks TheMysterio |
do you mean all three versions on one disc, or each individual one bootable (it already should be?)
|
no not the 3 versions..i can make 3 cds one for each version but i wanted to make all the 3 cd s bootable..
i cannot download the 3 in 1 or 6 in 1 and moreover dont know from where to download those thanks |
well KK i can give u the boot files in WinISO format.
u can copy your unfortunate cd to the hard disk and create an iso via WinISO and then import the bootable information to the WinISO and save it as a bootable ISO. :) |
thanks McoreD
will try this out Regards |
hi mcored
i tried this but it is of no help. i mean i frist mad an iso from the win2k3 folder which i had in my hdd and then inserted this file to the iso using WinISO but no luck Is there any other way? regards /KK |
If you're trying to make each individual version and bootable this may help
|
sorry KK i couldn't help you out there. :(
i extracted those boot information from my MSDN Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition. i am sure you did add all the files in the cd and made an ISO and then went to Bootable CD > Load Boot information from file > and added the my attached here. then in the left hand bottom corner it says Bootable CD. after you save the ISO and burn it to a CDR theoretically it should boot. i am sorry again as it didn't happen practically and i have no clue why is that. :( |
thanks HotRod for the file and i will work on that this weekend
and McoreD what i did was i copied ll the win2k3 versions from the msdn dvd and tried to make a bootable cd (for each version) . Actually i tried with one version. what i did was i created an iso using the WinISO. then on the left bottom of the winiso it said non bootable.. then whta i did was i added the boot information file u gave it said bootable CD.. teh funy part is i recreated the iso and added a text file as a bootable file (using the menu on the left where it says non bootable ) and it said bootable CD! man that winiso sucks :( i was busy with my work..so will try these stuffs this weekend thanks fore ure help guys i really appreciate ure help regards /KK |
hi there KK,
yeah i know. for some strange reason winISO is not smart enough to detect whether it is real boot information or not. on the day i gave u the boot information, i also tried the same thing u did i.e. adding notepads, word documents etc. and for my surprise it said it is bootable. but we know it is not bootable right. i am very sure if u add the proper boot information and burn the iso, it will boot. that's what i did for my iso as well. we pay for software to get what we want. i don't think WinISO sucks. :) btw, i favour for HotRod's boot information because it is direct; i mean not via winiso or something. so u will be alright either way. good luck! |
I have a page I saved from 01, PM me Ur e mail & I'll
get it to U. |
junkdude did u check ure PM ?
|
Hollo TheMysterio, mailed it to U last nite late.
If U didn't get it let me know & I send it again. Junkdude |
hi junkdude i got ure email but this explains oinly for XP right..is that the same way u make for win2k3 too?
|
Hi,
I've used WinISO to strip the visible files/directories, then save as empty .ISO, but with Boot Sector still intact. Sing out if you need. Cheerz :) :D ;) |
You can use the same CD boot file for W2K, XP, and W2K3. I used a W2K file when making a seperate Standard Server ISO from the 3-in-1 and it worked fine.
g-string. |
I used the instructions from here:
http://tacktech.com/display.cfm?ttid=157 And the boot file posted in this thread from HotRod. Works perfect! |
Mysterio I made a bootable "web svr" pulled from
3 in 1 cd with instructions I sent U. Works fine. Junkdude |
thanks m8
|
hi Junkdude

I've stripped out the Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Evaluation .ISO so only the booot files left. 1. Open with WinISO v5.30 2. ADD the directories 3. ADD the files in root dir 4. Change the CD Volume Label to the version you're going to burn 5. Save As a different filename 6. Burn with Nero or similar It should bootup just fine, just did test and booted fine Cheerz :) :D ;) |

making win2k3 bootable shouldnt be any problem. its the same process as making xp bootable.

Realize that, but some some, this maybe an easier way    and the final .ISO keeps the same appearance as the original M$ iso (boot sector when viewing with IsoBuster) Cheerz :) :D ;) |
thanks
