as much as i love jabbering off (and hey, it's so damn teenie I have a soft enough time finding it so I don't get to do it very often) i think that people can get babe pictures a lot of other places( if they're into girls,eeewwww). and it will end up getting a whole f*cking lot of "look at this hot chick!!111" posts, and a lot of porn. And so on the question about nudity will come up and eventually there will be a jihad here at the forums. And the truth be known, my idea of "babes" is this pic below. ;) ;)

To be honest... when I go to BetaONE it's usually to check out the 'latest and greatest' tech info. Too many Babes would distract me (Carmen Electra is just the right amount for me here ;)). If I want to check out Babes I go to PersianKitty. I wouldn't want to see the Babes there with computer/tech stuff posted either though. You go to MacDonalds for a cheeseburger not sushi, if ya know what I mean. Just my opinion though.

I haven't casted a vote yet, and I'm not about to try to sway it, but you will notice a new catagory: BetOne Diversions, which has nothing to do with computers. It would be placed in that section.

I have to say no as well as that would then put this fine forum on the edge and if it went over and was closed down would you want to rebuild it all over after losing all that was in it. Hopefully you back this up on a constant basis but I really don't think it would be worth your while UNLESS it was put in a hidden area where only full members had access and not anybody. Hidden forums have their own values. In this instant from roving eyes of guests who pop in to see what this forum is like and also from youngsters as well. Like I said it was for them to consider as I have seen it done and it has been successfull as well.BD

Nope.....
For a number of reasons..
- Our rules says something about nudity/sexual harassment.
- The net is filled with places like that.
- When do you concider a babe going "Final" ( aka non-beta ) ?
- Our members has kids ( some *are* kids )
- We have female members of our family, and we do NOT want to offend them.
- Also we have proud gay members, what would they say if we suddenly started to post babes all over the place ?

We can enforce rules of no nuidity. Alternatly we may ammend the rules to make the babes forum an excempt area. The rules are designed to protect people who are here for tech info to be unwillingly exposed to nuidity w/o warning. If someone wishes to enter a babes forum, they are clearly not going to be offended by that kinda thing, and its something they are doing willingly.
Yes, but as can be seen there is still demand. Perhaps part of the fun is sharing links with friends here. BetaONE has a community atmosphere, unlike popup and profit driven porn sites.

They are required to enter a D.O.B. which could be used a simple decency filter. Yes, its trivial to get around it, but worse content isnt exactly scarce on the net. We certainly wont be unwillingly or unexpectadly exposing anyone.
That is why we have rules against inappropriate images throught the board. People always have the choice of not visiting that section. If that kinda thing offends them.
Im more worried about them posting their idea of babes ;)

Lmao, that was an interesting misinterpretation of a nerdie-joke ;) I think we could make an exception and deal with RTM-babes. The whole point of the proposed forum is to provide a little diversity to the board.

I am not saying I approve of the babes forum, it probably will bring more responsibility and moderation issues, ie hassle. Im just saying minor issues can be worked around.

Starting a forum for women and men is appropriate. However..... it would have to be a system where we post OUR own pictures. Copyright is a important idea, I do wish to respect those models, either gender.

HOWEVER -> There is already a website for this....

I think that if WE can trust each other with displaying photos of each other, that is appropriate. It would ALSO have to a system where you submit your photo FIRST in order to get access to such information. Thus, for most people, its sensetive information.
