Just curious to see what everyone's preference is and why.
I use(if thats what you wanna call it...lol) photoshop, just because I have not used anything else. I am getting the urge to try Paintshop though. |
photoshop all the way :D
|
I started of with paintshop but I have moved on to photoshop as it is the defacto in 2d graphics.

photoshop all the way. started out with v6 at home and v5.5 at school and now i'm using v7 at both places.

If you´ve been using Photoshop then keep on doing it. Why? Cuz it´s WAY better. *lol*
|
PhotoShop for sure. PaintShop is a trying-hard to be like PhotoShop.
|
PhotoShop for me as well, it's what I cut my teeth on ;)

Photoshop

Photoshop by far, probvided you spend a little time getting to grips with it and its features, you will be well pleased.
|
Heh...I'll be different here. Photoshop for indepth graphics, but for every day stuff I use PSP 7. I wouldn't say it is trying to be like Photoshop. The two have way different interfaces. In general, PSP is much easier for a newbie doing everyday graphics editing. ;)

Use both. Even though at the moment I dont have a clue what I am doing.
|
At school was use PaintShop, but at home I use Photoshop 7. IMO the two programs are for different purposes. If you are making a graphic for example: a flyer, or something that you will be printing, then use Paintshop, but if it is for web stuff, I would use Photoshop.

I like PainShop 7.04 because it seemed easier to learn than PhotoShop. But with version 8 beta out, it looks more and more like PhotoShop. Maybe the thing to do is stay with the "Cadillac", even if you prefer a plain Chevrolet. :)
