Why did you choose that name and what does it mean?

My current name, source, was an evolution from belthazor, just as it was on one of my favorite tv shows; "Charmed".

"trminatr" was my first ever username on the internet - way back in the day of MSN dial-up internet in Canada. I got the name because "apparently" I resemble the character in T2 - not Arnie; the other one.

rikytik was my first user name on my very first forum--BetaONE. It is a sound of a kind of music from days before I was born. Just an idea of fun and ---well, rikytik--- :)



btw. Source has the coolest sig I have ever seen. Really rings my chimes......!!! :)

When I was a litle kid, my mother and I lived in the outside of a small town, with the poppulation of 250.
we had sheep and some cows and we were happy. One summer day it was raining and there was rain coming down throug the roof my mother looked at me, in here eyes I could read that she was not happy.
When it finaly stoped raining and the sun came out and the birds started to sing we were happy again.
I told my mother that we should fix the roof to geather and we did.

Well Flanderz an addaptation of part of my surname Flanders-Brazier ... to be honest I really want to get away from it, as I don't like being reffered to as Ned or Flanders fron the Simpsons, as I am nothing like him. Hence if you go to my website, the Admin is Enigma ... to be honest I should do away with Flanderz.Net and call it something else!

If any of you have read William Gibson books then you know that when console jockeys plug into the net they call it "jacking-in" ;)

Well, my first name is Dennis as Dennis the menace.

The name DoG was taken from a name i used to use on usenet, dfg ( Dog Faced Gremlin). People in real life used to say i looked a lot like a certain wrestler by the same name :P It even got shortened in real life so now i get people ringing up the house asking for DoG :D

The name Reborn was chosen just after i was made an admin, don't ask me why! Its only an interim name. I'm just waiting for the trout of inspiration to slap me in the face and scream a new name at me :P (Prefferably one i can use in polite company :lol: )

A long long time ago a dutch broadcasting company saw the potential of the internet. So, the setup a site witch all kinds of examples of what you could do with the internet and a mosaic browser. It even included things like gopher :). But to let the masses play with this they decided to make a CDROM with their complete site (and some sidetracks) and all programs you needed for it and send it away for free with their TV Guide.

Of course 650 Mb of internet isn't much so I got bored with it quite soon and decided to get myself a *real* internet connection.

While signing up for that I was listening to a song called "Les Cactus" sang by Vanessa Paradis. Don't ask me why but that was the time I choose my online nickname "Le Cactus" and have been stuck with that ever since . . .

i'm a video game freak... have been since i was a little kid

the final fantasy series is one of my favorites, and at the time i was playing through #7 in which Sephiroth is the evil badass who wants to destroy the entire world, so i went with it lol

DL is the first letters of my name and surname. Thought of changing it but it is sweet and short and it also is the abbreviation of download, so I like it. ;)

Back in the 1980's i met Alexandrov Potznjev, a undercover KGB agent. My real name is Nicholas, and since Alexandrov drank so much vodka he was unable to pronounce my name right. Then some years later, after the soviet fall, i ended up here, and i chose the name Nichotin as Alexandrov liked to shout it when he was beating his wife while being intoxicated.

I chose my member name Brave01Heart because I was born and raised in Scotland. Though I now live in England, I am very, very proud of my Scottish upbringing. I wanted the name Braveheart but someone was already using that name (cheek of them and I bet they are not even Scotiish), so I introduced "01" in the middle of it. Of course, the name came to me after I watched the film Braveheart (several times) and like it or not, I thought that it was a great movie .......... but then I would because of my Scottish blood.

I logged onto the net for the first time almost 3 years ago to this day. I went to 'hotmail' to set up an email account and needed a 'not my real name' name. I like vacuum tube guitar and stereo amps so I tried vtube but it was taken. So I became veetube.

In real life I'm an electronic technician but I've been calling myself a 'solder boy' for over 15 years :D . So when I joined my first 'underground board' I decided 'tubebuoy' would fit me quite nicely. Why the 'U' ? I'll let U figure that out but, it has to do with my Michiganian accent.

M31: The Andromeda Galaxy

Explanation: Andromeda is the nearest major galaxy to our own Milky Way Galaxy. Our Galaxy is thought to look much like Andromeda. Together these two galaxies dominate the Local Group of galaxies.

The diffuse light from Andromeda is caused by the hundreds of billions of stars that compose it. The several distinct stars that surround Andromeda's image are actually stars in our Galaxy that are well in front of the background object. Andromeda is frequently referred to as M31 since it is the 31st object on Messier's list of diffuse sky objects.

M31 is so distant it takes about two million years for light to reach us from there. Much about M31 remains unknown, including why the center contains two nuclei.

I choose my name because, PT is what my girlfriends daughter thought my name was, and log is just short for login and 8 is my favorite number, so three of them cant be too bad.

So many reasons...

i. Cyberion SAT is now owned by Uniserve, I tried their connection once @ PNE in Vancouver and it rocked. I loved it, and wanted to learn how it worked. I asked my self if Cyberion was appropriate for a nickname, some friends called me Promy from high school, and though the nickname was respectful.

EDIT: realised this really had nothing to do with my nickname.. only describing some previous experience. Sorry for all the confusion.
