I've just finished watching Bowling for Columbine which is possible one of the most scareiest things i've seen. I couldn't believe the ease of access to guns in the US some of it very serious artillery such as assault guns used by special forces, that people keep in their home.
The part of the film I was really struck by was the scene in the bank where you open a bank account and get a free gun (fom a choice of 500 guns) then buy all the bullets and other accesories from the hairdresser. So who owns a gun here? what type? and as someone in the film said do you have a gun to, "cut out the middle man (i.e. police) to take care of business." |
I have a gun. A POS 22 which is in under my bed. lol
You know just in case. But my friend has about 50 guns. And yes three assault rifles. Not Legal. hehe I think he has five different clips that each hold 100 rounds. Think he said legal would only be ten. He was going to buy an ak47 the other day. U know in case some damn terroirsts thinks he can take him on. That would be funny as hell. Terrorist would not stand a chance. Dont think he would make it to the front yard. Damn attack dog. :) Let alone in the house. And if he did, by then, he would have his damn body muitlated. My two brothers have nice guns, knives, etc. Not sure why. Since they just set in their cases under the beds. I dont need a damn gun to protect myself. My dad just gave it to me so I just put it under the bed. I'm no damn pussy. I'll kill you with my damn hands, faq a gun, or even a knive. Martial Arts comes in handy. :) |
I have no guns here... ;) Live in peace :D
|
I dont have a gun - I prefer a bat :)
|
I have a water pistol that don't work anymore. :)
My son in law is an out of work IT guy and had to sell his gun collection. What's this world coming to? :) |
there was some pretty creative and artful editing to make that movie appear fact. The tragedy at Columbine is real this movie is not.

Legal 357 loaded with hollow point bullets & locked up in a fire safe away from the kids.
EDIT- Fire safe has keypad, 5 digit code and locks up for 3 minutes if the wrong code/hacked entered. During that 3 minutes even the correct code will NOT work. |
Don't own one but I'm not anti-gun. In fact I'm very PRO gun. Most of my friends own at least one.
}---:) P.S. Moving to politcal forum. |

I am a gunowner, but they are only used for sports !
In my gunsafe you will find the following handguns : Browning Buckmark .22lr pistol American Arms PK22 .22lr pistol Walther PP 7,65mm ( .32 ACP ) pistol Bernadelli P-1 Compact 9mm pistol Colt King Cobra .357 Mag. revolver Kongsberg m1914 .45 ACP ( 11,25mm ) pistol They are all kept in a safe, whenever they are not beeing used or cleaned. In Norway we are not allowed to carry weapons of any kind, and the only legal reason to transport my guns, are to/from practice/competition. As any guns, mine are completely safe and cause no harm. Gun's dont kill, people do and they do it with any possible means........ Sidenote : Quote:
the 1994 Crime Bill came, the legal limit of the mag. is limited to 10 rounds. Breaking the gun laws and regulations in the US might be a federal crime, and the penalty is *hard*. DON'T do it ! More info : http://www.mynra.com/default.cfm http://www.atf.treas.gov/index.htm |
Interesting responses so far. It appears that some members (and their friends) own not one gun but a mini arsenal of weapons and there also appears that there are very different ways to store them!
|
@BC - Maybe I need to get a Colt King Cobra .357 Mag. revolver like you.
Here's a little note: I like Budweiser which is made by Anheuser-Busch and they also make something called KingCobra which I love! My S&W .357 that I bought just happens to have BUD as part of the serial. How COOL is that! B) |
I don't have any guns because here in canada, the law is very strict
And in quebec where I live, the law is more agressive than the rest of canada ;) I don't need guns, they are too much dangerous for me because I have made some terrible action in the past :o and I don't want to do this again Peace |
I have one Llama 380 semi pistol....this is old but I used it only for target practice.
|
No gun's here. Ooops, sorry, my wife has a starters pistol. hehe ...griz ;)
|
I used to own several. A ruger mini-14,colt 45 commander, smith and wesson 357 and a few others. Im definately not anti gun but as I almost went to prison on a gun charge I decided with my temperment I would not own a gun again unless it was absolutely necessary. Also now being clean and sober almost 3 years , I dont seem to be making enemies like I used to. Believe me though when I say I would definately be packing if I thought it necessary to protect my home and family.

I own a Baretta 9mm for the sole purpose of one day having to end my existence. That's the whole truth.

"As any guns, mine are completely safe and cause no harm.
Gun's dont kill, people do and they do it with any possible means........" Bear Cat hit it right on the head.. I only own one gun now, a Walther PP 22mm....very valuable and nice gun.. Used to own several, but when my son was bornI got nervous about having alot in the house, so I sold them all... Used them for Hunting and taget practice, nothing else... And, I too would NOT hesitate to use it if i felt my life or loved ones life was in IMMINENT danger.. Always legal, always by the book... wase4711 |

I used to have a 92 fs beretta 9 milli, but I had my grandpa sell it; i needed the money. Here where i live the government passed a law making it very easy to carry a consealed handgun, all you have to do is take the safty course, buy your permit, wait the mandatory 3 days for a criminal check when you purchase it and you are good to go. I think once I save some money I am going to get another handgun, I may get a consealed carry permit as well. I think that consealed carry is the best anti crime tactic, I wouldnt even think about trying something on someone if their city had a consealed carry law. i believe that consealed carry is a great crime deterrant.
