The bad news.... :o

The drive, where I was having all my programs, like mailserver and stuff, did NOT want to start up again after a cold start last weekend :(

Shit, even all my personal mail and data was stored on this one, like my adressbook and different configurations,
and I was planning to do a backup "later"..... What can I say, except giving you all an advice : BACKUP NOW !
The drive is a Seagate ST34573N ( SCSI ), and I am looking for another one like this to switch the logic boards around.
And I would appreciate YOUR help to find a drive like this : Seagate Barracuda, ST34573N ( lot# a-01-9923-2 )

The "good" news :
I have just been getting my backup-mailserver back online.
And in case I'm not able to retrieve the lost data, then those who used to have a mail account,
needs to send me a mail, so I can do it the hard way.... and remake all the accounts on my primary mailserver.
Send an e-mail to : restore@temporary.no-ip.org with your last active login info, stating :
username, password, portnumber you connected to, and your current e-mail address.

I have been able to "rent-a-drive", a drive exactely the same as the one i lost :)
And it's looking good regarding retrieving my old data, but I need to take it slow, step by step.

I have a whole "craploads" of Seagate ST34371WC hard drives, I dont know if thats the ones you need. 4.3GN Ultra SCSi and i had them all removed from service and added on some now 9.1GB babies. I have all 8 of them, but will keep 4 for backup purposes after any iniment failure(s) (Always happen, it never ends..... <_< )

Seems like my ISP has done some "upgrades" to their setup :blink:
Now all customers needs to go through a logon page, ( portal ) to be able to get trafficflow to
go outside the local switched LAN.
All paying customers should have recieved this new pasword by postal mail, but _somehow_ they did not send it to me.

In addition, it seems like they have been starting to use NAT, feeding us with "useless" IP adresses in the
range of 10.x.x.x ( non routable adresses )
making it a real bit** to run a mailserver.

Update will be posted when/if this problems get's resolved.

Just got of the phone with my ISP....

Seems like I'm not the only one waiting to have my starterkit...
They have not registred / sendt anything to me *yet* :angry: and they "complain" that they have too many customers
signing up after the "big change" ...
