I search a trick to install my scanner in windows XP :confused:

The drivers I have are for windows 98 and they don't have other drivers !

How can I install it ?

I used the above on my daughters computer and allthough her scanner was not listed it worked a treat, good luck...

Hi Bads 1, there is another site that may have something that will work. Have a look at h**p://www.hamrick.com they have quite a lot of Scanner support.

How can I tell to this program that I have windows 98 installed ?

I have a mustek 600CP parellel port scanner. Initially the drivers for windows 2000 did not work under windows XP since XP does not recognize the drivers. This is what I did and it worked for me.
Goto your registry by typing regedit in the run command. Then HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Windows NT/Current Version. Under this look for the key "ProductName" = "Microsoft Windows XP".

Change this to "ProductName" = "Microsoft Windows 2000". Once you change this install the drivers for windows 2000 for the scanner. They should install properly. After the drivers are installed change the registry key back to the original.

What is the model number of your mustek scanner. Mine is 600CP. Maybe I can find some compatible drivers for you.

I have been to mustek support site and I have not seen a 600 USB model. Does it also have a parallel port interface??
