What's your best CPU Uptime :D ?

Here is mine, still running :P
http://www11.brinkster.com/mcored/Im..._up_152hrs.jpg

Please don't use the [img][/img] cos then the thread fills with images and takes a while to load. Please.
And also please don't get screenshot of servers; as they are 24*7 up, thanks :)

Shiromagius 19th Nov 02 01:27 PM

http://engr.oregonstate.edu/~pletz/uptime.JPG and counting :D

[edit] Sorry about the bmp, it was quicker at the time :D [/edit]

~*McoreD*~ 19th Nov 02 02:20 PM

Oh Shiromagius, convert the BMP to JPG please. :)

Heh, you don't turn yous off do you BearCat unless its public holidays! :)

craftyc 19th Nov 02 05:14 PM

How are the above uptimes measured?

Anyway here is the output of my uptime.

Code:

17:01:55  up 17 days, 23:26,  2 users,  load average: 0.23, 0.13, 0.04
This uptime may be paltry, but I'm working on it. :)

adams 19th Nov 02 05:19 PM

The BetaONE Server is running Linux, but still it hasn't been up as much as yours :huh:
Tell us, is this your comp at home or is it a web server? Pretty damn good one :huh:

BearCat 26th Nov 02 03:49 PM

@McoreD :

It's one of my computers back home, running my mailserver, not my primary workstation.
Last reboot was due to a update from Norton, next one will be due to some schedueled maintanance.

Updated screenie : _http://home.enter.vg/bearcat/pics/uptime2.jpg
Using a mall proggy found here : _http://www.rundegren.com/software/windowsuptime/

For the lazy ones : 86 Days, 4 Hours and counting.

PS :
Anyone have a linux driver for my new keyboard ?

Yep, we run Linux :D

It's Redhat 7.2 with an Ensim Webappliance kernel. (ew, I hate that thing, the first thing I did in configuring the server is cut as much of it off as I could, I refuse to remotely recompile a kernel though, lol)

FreeUS 26th Nov 02 04:41 PM

Wow McoreD!. That is a lot of idle time!! :D
And you too BearCat!. Many idle time :D

FreeUS 26th Nov 02 07:20 PM

BTW, like I said in my previous post, thats only the idle time.... I think if you wanna know how much time is up you will need to sum every time of each process. That or use the console command: systeminfo.exe :D (on NT only)

~*McoreD*~ 27th Nov 02 04:15 AM

@BearCat:

Thanks for the link of that nice little program :) It is hell useful for fun stuff like this :D
Damn appreciate the "Copy Uptime" feature like this:
0 days, 0 hours, 20 minutes, 20 seconds

@FreeUS:

Yeah that's named as the idle time :D but still is alright as an indicator for how much the comp is turned on without shutting down :P

war59312 27th Nov 02 10:18 PM

Well this is what I use. :)

cya,
Will

PS: That is the true uptime, in task mananger its only 19 hours.

That's bullshit hey :o Yeah, it happens to me now. But I didn't notice much. Mine the task manager says only 9hrs (Windows 2000 SP3) but it is more than that.

Seems like FreeUS was right <_< :)

Is it slow? I have never needed to remotely compile a kernel myself. Also wouldn't Debian be more suited to servers? It is rock solid but has outdated software.
