I am using FlashGet, but I have heard that Go!Zilla Plus finds alternative URLs (mirrors) for files we download. Thus we get the highest speed possible to download. Isn't this in FlashGet? I never noticed though. Please discuss...

Thank you :)

Hi,

I've tried GetRight, GoZilla, FlashGet and others, but always come back to Download Accellerator Plus v5.3.0.0.

Even though the download speeds are similar and FlashGet does seem to pick up a few more file linkz to d/l, DAP v5.3 in my opinion has a more user friendly interface/GUI.

A question guyz, does FlashGet have the option where you can have the "Download Completed" RUN / Open Folder / Close pop-up that DAP 5.3 has as I can't see it, this is also how the default MS downloader displays after d/l completion, but I can't see it in FlashGet. If this option is there, I may change my mind .

Hi daMANwithANSWERZ,

You can simply double click the downloaded file within the FlashGet and run it.
Yea, FlashGet could open the folder of the file we downloaded.
FlashGet also have an option to popup a message and say The download completer (also with sounds). But I don't reckon it is an important option. Why be so lazy isn't it? I am always in front of the comp, and I open it after is downloaded.
I find the Scheduling in FlashGet is powerful :)

I don't use Download Managers that much, but I've always been fond of FlashGet. Getright works well, but it seems more clunky and not quite as adept as Flashget is.

Hi McoreD,

I knew this about double-clicking, but I like how DAP and the default Windows D/L can popup and you click OPEN. Call it lazy if you wish, but just a feature some have that I like.

Scheduling in DAP works great as well.

true, though sometimes one is handy, if i want to queue up a huge list of downloads over http to run overnight while i'm asleep or during the day while i'm at school a download manager is the only way to do this, ever try downloading 50+ files at once from ie? lol

Question-DAP users, how can I add multiple URLS to download? I haven't been able to figure that out. Been adding one by one. Help appreciated, thanks.
