It's supposed to be a user-friendly distro for those switching to Linux. Supposed to copy Windows in a lot of ways.

Anyone have try it ?!

It is stable like linux is stable ?!

doder 9th Nov 02 10:07 PM

Just intalled Lycoris. They've made it look very windows like. Looks ok so far. Be checking it out more.

You can go to the Lycoris Website /www.lycoris.com/products/desktoplx/desktop/ and take a look for yourself.

Actually Lycoris is a very nice distro. Perhaps the most user friendly of any distro I tried. Automatically mounts fat and ntfs partitions like Mandrake and SuSE.

I'm still at a loss how to make the connection to the Microsoft LAN. But this is a configuration problem I'm having with Linux in general. Lycoris may have a better handle on this issue than the other distros.

I just discovered LinNeighborhood. I may put Mandrake back and try LinNeighborhood with it.

I'd say these Linux distros are starting to be really be interesting, but the learning curve is still steep for ole time dos/windows guys. Lot's more fun than computer games, tho. <big grin>
