which program/programs would be the best to replace wmp? I play many mp3's listen to internet radio and watch all types of movie formats is there one program out there that will allow all this?

Winamp3 has video features built in. I would recommend it, though, personally I prefer WMP9. The SRS Wow effects really enhance the music, so much so, that anything else sounds horrible in comparison. But If you wanna switch, Winamp3 is the way to go.

RealONE player is junk it consumes lots of system resources and it is full with adds.wmp is the best . i have no problem with ms. i like thier product.

I used to be a huge winamp fan...that was until WMP9 came out. It just kicks ass. I would still recomend winamp but not wimamp3 its sucks and hogs ram and is buggy. But the older winamps don't have video support.

you might try musicmatch, i use it sometimes for net radio. its actaully pretty awsome.

i gotta admit i haven't tried WMP9 yet....but i really like MM JukeBox for my MP3 stuff...listening to & burning audio CDs....MM's i-net radio works well, but i think you can only listen to their stations, not sure if you can tune in to other radio sites

for video, i like ZoomPlayer....i also keep WinDVD 3.1 & 4.0 handy

for pics, ThumpsPlus :P

i just downloaded Windows Media Player 9 Beta. that's hell cool, and the best than any other players, i reckon.
and yes Fares, i like MS products too and only uses them as well. i just mentioned RealONE player was good cos, the tread starter (andru) has asked for something other than WMP. i really appreciate MS products and there is no doubt about that.

now i am gonna download Windows Media Encoder 9, which lets us to compress out audio/video files to the latest Windows Media Formats.
