Hmmm....I have a sony surround sound system and there is a test feature to make sure all speakers are hooked up right - plays a test through each speaker....Does your manual have anything like that? Mine did...:)
As for test music, I didn't need any as my system supplied the sounds.... /JD |
yea same here

i think there's a test for our home theater too.
Umm...as far as DVDs w/ it. I know Evil Dead 2 (ugh..i think its that one). Has a THX surround sound test. That sends noise to each speaker seperatly. |

Yes yes yes...
as I have told you My love Jessica "Why buy it if you can get it for free"...... And I will try to get it for free first and then ........... I will think about buying it............ :) |
look for THX audio test on kazaa, or some other mp3 sharing place. I have a whole cd of THX audio tests. Its like the stuff THX uses too certify speakers. There's lots of them, but you should be able to find one that will do what you want.

You really don't need anything special to test. Someone already mentioned to use its own test. If you bought any newly released movie like Lord of The Ring, you can tell how good your system is.
ps. I just bought a new JVC surround sound receiver to replace my old (blown) one. I will test my new toy over the weekend. |
Buy or download Toy Story and do the THX test at the options menu of the DVD. Or, just use the manual - measure the distance between you and all the speakers, enter the settings on your reciever, ensure the volume is the same from all speakers....
And thats it. ;) |
