Just made me think after reading Fladerz post. If you want to tell cool, if not thats cool too ;)

Me, I work for DaimlerChrysler at there Belvidere Assmebly Plant where we currently make the Neon and Neon SRT-4 <-----SRT 4 is the super fast one ;)

The 2005 is the last model year for the neon, then we will shut down in mid 2005 to upgrade the plant for the 2 new cars we are getting but have yet to be announced.

I work at Duke Hospital, I am a health unit coord. Where I work we see around 95% of all patients that come in to have surgery. With the holidays coming up, we are really busy!

@Poolman: can you send me one of the cheaper neons? I need a new car! :)

After 30 years as an expat employee of a french bank I retired a couple years ago and am enjoying lots of local consuloting by those few rare individuals who appreciate grey hair (aka old fart). LOL

Dudelive 7th Nov 04 01:40 AM

After 34.5+ years in the automotive field doing repairs of all kinds I went to small engine repair for 1.5 years, mostly lawnmowers. The boss redid the pay (to his advantage) and now I am back in the automotive field again.

Thanks

I work in R&D for a well known tire company. I formulate tread compounds for regular car tires and for !->racing tires<-!. The latter part of my job is the most interesting. I get to go to tire tests all over the USA and to some races when new tread formulas are being used. Last August I was in the middle of the desert about 25 miles from Las Vegas testing several new off-road treads in 122F (50C) temperatures. Its not always a fun job, but most of the time it is a blast.

Interesting. Hopefully, he does a better job than the previous ones. When I was a certified ref (having to get certified every year), the instructors used tapes of the games for "what not to do".

Me, I have the only job where you can be wrong 50% of the time and still keep your job.

Hola,

I work for a company called Capespan, which is the biggest exporter of fruit in South Africa. I work in the SCM (Supply Chain Management) department. I'm a "Europe Vessel Planner". I plan and oversee the loading process of conventional (Bulk loading ships) and container vessels for the European markets. The EU markets concerned is everything between the UK and Russia.

The grapes and stone fruit season is starting up now. Our most famous brands we have are "Cape" for Grapes, Apples and Pears and "Outspan" for Citrus.

So, the next time you see them in you local store then you know where they come from.

Cheers
Jaco

I work as a computer system operator on a IBM iSeries (AS/400) at Technicolor in Camarillo, Calif. We are THE data center for the entire Thomson Corp, which is actually based in France. For our 6000 users, we have 4 16Way IBM-Power5 processors partitioned into 4 separate systems sharing 4.2 TB of 35GB-15K RAID-5 SCSI disks and 2GB of memory, gonna get 2GB more "main storage" and 4 more 16Way CPUs! Been doing the same gig for assorted compaines since 1988, including Citizen Watch Co., Gemological Inst. of America, Delta Dental, etc. The great thing about being an IBM AS/400 sysop, is that many large companies have at least one AS/400, or "iSeries eServer" as they are called now.
