There is a 3in1 of 3660 floating around in outer-space....and I got hold of it the other night. But some fellows over at iexbeta state that they get some strange errors about the swap-file during the install-process :( I have not installed it myself...yet....Anyone here knowing if there is something wrong with that particular release of 3in1 ???

TIA

Hello m8

I have this 3in1 and i can tell you it was a living hell to get it installed... you put in the cd it install the neseserly files and rebot.. then when it come to the bot where you can shose what you will install the prob begin you cant install a shit from the cd .. the only solusion is the insert a win98 boot disk and use the exe hmm sorry dont remeber the name..

What i did too install it was to copy the version i wanted over to the hdd and install it from there..That was the only ting i could to to get it installed.. But there is a repack of the 3in1 out.. But soon the Rc1 is out soo i get this 3in1 too then...

maybe that will answer the question !

If you have found that the Win .net 3660 3in1 CD upon booting, and choosing
option 3, Advanced Server, you get an error about the file not found, you
need to use WinISO to open the ISO and change the file "aserv.img" to
"asrv.img"

With WinISO you do not have to extract the iso, just make the change and
save.

The aserv file is in the ROOT of the CD.

WinISO is available from www.cdrsoft.cc

Other people are reporting this same prob with the 3n1. Do a HD install. There is scuttlebut that 3660 IS RC1. who knows

I have made another 3in1 .NET 3660 ISO which has completed the final tests and the test results are perfect. It is now in the usual place. Here is its description:

This is a multi-bootable Windows .NET CD which put 3 different English versions of Windows .NET Build 3660 (Standard Server, Enterprise Server & Web Server) onto one single CD. (NR1SEW_3660.jpg)

Features:

1. Use CKY... (14 days Product-Key) to install. SETUPREG.HIV has been modified for full version. Run reset4-3660.exe in SAFE MODE to apply the RESET patch.

2. The same DRIVER.CAB coming from the Standard Server is to be applied to all 3 versions of .NET Server in order to fit them in one single CD. This will not affect normal operation of the Enterprise Server and Web Server at all because their original DRIVER.CAB's are only subsets of the one from Standard Server.

3. CD is bootable into a main menu from which you can select to install anyone of the 3 .NET's.

4. CD is also bootable (using Boot Scriptor) into Windows 98 with Commands or NTFS-Pro support, MS-DOS 6.22, IBM PC-DOS 7.0, Partition Magic 7, Easy Recovery, SpinRite 5 or the most GNU/Linux. (autoboot3660.jpg)

5. There is a Tools Folder which contains useful tools, and utilities to be used with the Windows .NET. These include: ASPI32 Layer, DivX Codec, MP3 Codec, PowerToy (modified for .NET), CDRWIN, WINIMAGE, DaemonTools, ISOBuster, CD Mate, WinISO, FlashFXP, HardCopy, IrfanView, Resource Hacker, UltraEdit, WinRAR and WinZIP.

6. The 3-in-1 Autorun Menu allow setup any one of the 3 Servers when the CD is inserted. (autorun3660.jpg)

To get rid of the For Testing Purposes Only off the desktop, remove the following two registry keys:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SystemCertif icates\CA\Certificates\FEE449EE0E3965A5246F000E87F DE2A065FD89D4]

Enjoy!

khauyeung

i have applied the reset 4.02 over the enterprise one 2 times and after that it wont log me in all it does that it bootup and then crach giving a blue screen error.i have it installed with xp on c and the net on d.what is the problem.and can i use the corp files to convert it to full version and how.i got this copy from cabinet net ,it is not there any more but is this one the one you are talking about.i have changed the name of the file, and it works finr, and i think the problem that it wont work from the cd because it is 699 mg while your cds are 650mg so it does not fit try to use 700 mg cd.thanks

khauyeung 19th Jul 02 12:59 PM

fares, I have no problem in applying the RESET4-3660.exe onto my 3660 Standard Server which was installed from my new 3in1 CD. Installing .net on d: and keep xp on c: will not encounter a problem (my .net was installed on e:). Please note that RESET4 should be run in SAFE Mode once you have completed the installation with a valid key (the 14 days CKY... Key). NO CORP-Files nor VLK should be used since M$ has changed the algorithm in validating product keys

Hi khauyeung

Is there a different registry key for 3660 Enterprise Version to get rid of "For Testing Purpose" ?

I can only delete one key.

The other you mentioned is not there :
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SystemCertif icates\ROOT\Certificates\2BD63D28D7BCD0E251195AEB5 19243C13142EBC3]

fcchan, you are correct. The second 2BD6... key does not exist in .net. The FEE4... key is the only one we need to remove from registry in order to get rid of those destop stuffs, and it works with my setupreg.hiv.

Where can I find this great work?

fcchan 21st Jul 02 11:54 AM

Hi khauyeung

"For Testing Purpose" remains there after I delete key FEE4.

If I replace the setupreg.hiv in 3660 with your setupreg.ads (rename to setupreg.hiv) and then delete key FEE4, would it get rid of "For testing" text ?

If your setupreg.hiv is the latest version, would it be possible for you to e-mail to me ?

The original setupreg.hiv coming with 3660 is one with a "360 days timebomb". If you did not have it replaced prior to your installation, the "For Testing Purpose" stuff will appear onto your desktop even though you have removed the FEE4 registry key afterwards.

To remove it:

1. Replace the setupreg.hiv in the i386 directory with the one of FULL Version. If you are using a N-in-1 CD, make sure the setupreg.hiv in the folder of "minimum file set" is replaced as well.

2. Install .NET 3660

3. Run RESET4-3660.exe in SAFE MODE

4. Remove the FEE4 registry key

5. Reboot

The above procedure has been verified to be working in Standard Server. I am assuming that it works equally well in Enterprise & Web Sever.

My latest Timebomb removed setupreg.hiv's (modified from Build 3628) can be located in my Home Page which can be reached by visiting the following URL:
