I try to see the properties of my internet connection and I always see this screen :( What can I do to fix the WMI ? Thanks |

Asus P4S533 P4 2.0.ghz 1.5 gig of DDR 333 Asus FX 5200 128 megs |
Well first make sure both serivces are set to manual or like me:

have you typed run/services.msc and tried to find it/ turn it back on from there? |

do you remember if they worked BEFORE you installed SP 2 2055?
It may be worth trying to uninstall that and see if those services start to work again.. Hopefully, when you upgraded, you chose the option to SAVE your old files, in case you had to uninstall SP2 2055.. |
I just have the solution from another board :D And this is really working.
Now I can see my ICF and all I want ;) [Windows Management Instrumentation - WinMgmt could not initialize the core parts Go to Start/Run/CMD and then run each of these hitting enter after each: winmgmt /clearadap winmgmt /kill winmgmt /unregserver winmgmt /regserver winmgmt /resyncperf This may or may not repair the repository but will re-install wmi into the registry. and this did work for me, everything seems straight and working again |
