Found this

Code:

Maybe try the alternate method ;)

Code:

A frequent visitor proposes the following quicker / easier alternative:

1. Boot to the Recovery Console.

2. Navigate to the %SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem\Repository\FS folder.

3. Delete the INDEX.BTR and OBJECTS.DATA files.

4. Exit the Recovery Console.

5. Start Windows XP normally.

6. Reconfigure ICS and ICF settings because step 3 causes them to be reset to factory defaults.

This is not working for me :(

See my second pic please and tell me how can I make Win32 as a service ??

wase4711 30th Jan 04 04:05 PM

another reason NOT to install SP2 2055...

have you typed run/services.msc
and tried to find it/ turn it back on from there?

Bads 30th Jan 04 04:12 PM

Yes,

They are all started

wase4711 30th Jan 04 08:55 PM

do you remember if they worked BEFORE you installed SP 2 2055?
It may be worth trying to uninstall that and see if those services start to work again..
Hopefully, when you upgraded, you chose the option to SAVE your old files, in case you had to uninstall SP2 2055..

I just have the solution from another board :D And this is really working.

Now I can see my ICF and all I want ;)

[Windows Management Instrumentation - WinMgmt could not initialize the core parts
Go to Start/Run/CMD and then run each of these hitting enter after each:

winmgmt /clearadap
winmgmt /kill
winmgmt /unregserver
winmgmt /regserver
winmgmt /resyncperf

This may or may not repair the repository but will re-install wmi into the registry.

and this did work for me, everything seems straight and working again
