Been using McAfee AntiSpam 4 for some months and find it is about 70% effective. I've got an installation used by a musician who posts on a number of boards and is getting more than 100 spams a day. McAfee used to be very effective, but spammers are finding ways to beat the stock definitions.

Got any "Rave" antispam proggies to suggest?

I can't wait to hear some feedback. I'm using I Hate Spam for Outlook and I'm wondering if it will ever "learn" anything.

btw, my sister, the "installation" I spoke of bought a copy of "Mail Wiper" and is quite pleased with the results so far. http://www.mailwiper.com/

Still looking for some input on this thread. Surprised there isn't more interest. Spam is getting intense. I always thought I was adequately endowed to reproduce myself, but according to the spam I recieve this is not so. I guess things have changed since I was a young man and enjoyed a rather nice and, I thought, normal, relationship with my wife of 40 years. <ha ha> Maybe we should turn this into a Chit Chat thread. :)

I agree with source. I Hate Spam (OE) isn't very intuitive, and there's got to be something better out there. Thanks for starting this thread, I'll be watching it with interest.

I was using I Hate Spam for Outlook and tried Mailfrontier's Matador. So far so good, lot less headache than I Hate and it is doing a better job as well. I am using it with the Outlook 2003 beta 2 release and am very please thus far.

Here's what my sister says about Mail Wipe that she recently bought

Mail Wiper works on an entirely different principle than all the other antispam pgms. So far it has gotten 100% for me since I installed it. Ended up by the last time I went on line last night over 120spams had been intercepted by MailWiper yesterday. Around 40 this morn with first check in. Listen to the radio program interview on the MailWiper web site I mentioned. It describes the difference in the approach. It's only been commercially available since Feb so not a lot of people know about it yet. Most of the spams that were getting through "iHateSpam" were porno and I am delighted I do not have to read even their objectionable subject lines to get rid of them. Let you know what happens over some time.

Anybody else got ideas?

The web site she refers to is http://www.mailwiper.com
