hi there all
i have a nvida geforce 2 mx 400 64mb ram
is it with upgrading to a geforce 4 mx 440 64mb ram

would i notice any diffrence in the game play and better graphics from the newer card

give me your thought as i want to upgrade my card but on have £120 to spend and i did not want to buy this newer card and not have anything extra

or if u now of any good 2d 3d agp card please let me now

The Geforce4 MX is better than the 2MX, but I don't think you would see that much difference. You might be better off getting a Geforce3 Ti200/Ti400 card.

DO NOT GET A GEFORCE 4MX!!!! They are nothing more than renamed versions of the original Geforce2 with slightly improved speed. They do not have ANY of the enhancements found in the Geforce4 or even 3 series. Your best budget bet would be a Geforce4 4200 with 128 mb of memory - it has great performance, great overclocking ability, and has the memory needed to handle upcoming games. Go with this card, you can't go wrong.

If you want to buy a solid graphics card that will last you a while, then go with the Gainward GeForce4 PowerPack ! Ultra/650XP Golden Sample G4TI4200 128MB VIVO DVI. It is very overclockable and the only major difference between the 4200 > 4600 is the clock speed of the GPU and memory... it costs about US$175+shipping.

Good luck finding one...
