Hey ZONE-MR, sorry I dont know much about software development, so i didnt know they could do that. I searched for the taskmgr.exe to find out what size they are, 2 of them are 126k and one of them is 40k, but the date modified shows 23/8/2001 for all of them. Does that mean anything?

Just wanna add that one of my mates has now got the same problem that i have and he is also running XP. But on his, its called System32.exe instead of update.exe, and on his u have to end the process several times in one session, instead of once like mine. Think there is something spreading.......
