Isn't there a working AMD 64 bit version as well?

I have a machine that I am considering trying this on and would like to know should I or not.
Pent III 1ghz Ram 512 Hard Drive 60gig Burner The main use would be a server to replace Win2k Pro or would i be better off with Win2k? Thanks Dudelive |
I am running my server: Windows Server 2003 in a Pentium II 400 MHz with 512 MB RAM.
If you already have Windows 2000 in a good working condition, rather than potentially disrupting your stable environment by upgrading to Windows Server 2003, you might want to leave it as it is. Otherwise, having Windows Server 2003 installed is clearly a better choice for you. :) Cheers, McoreD |
only fault i've found with win2003 so far is IT"S GOT NOT GAMES!!! :crybaby: :crybaby:
had to manually copy minesweeper and hearts and solitaire from friend's pc. freecell wouldnt work cause some files werent compatible... wierd :) now i can slay away some hrs with mindless games, lol |
just a question, could ya hint me in on how to get the welcome screen and fast-user enabled on 2k3? thanks ahead of time...and i've been runnin 2k3 standard and small business for about 5 months now, and it runs a hell of a lot better than xp pro, i have small business setup as server, and standard tweaked for a workstation, and i can run any game i had on xp on 2k3 better and faster :)

Hi, you cannot really enable the Welcome Screen in Server 2003 unless you convert it to Windows XP Professional Version 2003.
If you are interested, check out: http://www.betaone.net/index.php?showtopic...=welcome+screen Cheers, McoreD |
