@ Printer, and all

I have XP Live update "off' And nav automatic update "on" seem this is not this service ;)

But my problem is for scanning : I install it from Systemworks or just NAV 2003 Pro and all is fine, I can scan etc...........But after a reboot or two, I always receive the message "unable to open Antivirus\Tasks\mycomp.sca :angry:

The file is there but the size is now 0 ko if I uninstall and reinstall, all will be fine again :o

I really don't know wich file delete this shortcut ?????Now I can't do a full scan :(

I'm pretty sure that's just a config file for a scan task. (Maybe the default task).
Try creating another scan task, and use that one for the default scan, or maybe you can save it with the same filename, so it becomes the default

Ok not sure if i am allowed to ask this, but please feel free to remove it if i am not. I have notron antivirus 2003 and installed it ok, but after a couple of days it says thanks for using the trial period! I thought i had the full version, what am i doing wrong?

Cheers

@ Bads,

"nav automatic update" was disabled because I disabled the "task scheduler" service.

@outbackwb,

The problem I could install NAV pro was because the "terminal service" was disabled. Set to "manual "or "automatic", you should be fine. see also symantec website:

Good luck,

printer

There is also a bad rip of NAV2003 floating round. Its supposed to be final but is a beta version. Go to symantec and search for a file called rnav.exe. It will remove all traces of nav from your system and allow a reinstall. I had the bad rip version and it really messed my system up- after using rnav it installed the good version without any problems

The only problem I had when installing it, was afterwards, after the reboot it said something about having to uninstall it and reinstall it. Did this and it worked.

Weird.

Running XP SP1.
