Anyways I heard 400,000 on foxnews earlier. Only an estimate they said.

Though website says 119,000 atm.

Guess it was a big estimate. No wait I saw something about it here on B1 somewhere?

War59312 that was a estimate for Indoneasia ALONE not a one country near the epie centre CNN is now reporting 135,263. Of which 79K are from indonesia.

(CNN) -- Relief officials are working to assess the death tolls from last Sunday's tsunami that killed thousands of people in at least 11 countries.

CNN has confirmed that the undersea earthquake off Sumatra and the giant waves it triggered killed more than 155,000 people, and that number is expected to rise.

Deaths by country:

Indonesia: More than 94,000, according to health ministry.

Sri Lanka: 47,062, with more than 16,000 missing. Officials in non-rebel-held areas report 28,255 dead, 16,665 injured, 899,408 without homes, and 5,540 missing. Reports from rebel-controlled areas indicate at least 18,807 killed, 10,000 missing and 600,000 displaced.

India: At least 10,000

Thailand: 4,992.Thai prime minister says toll could exceed 8,000. 6,541 are missing, more than 3,000 of them Swedish tourists.

Malaysia: 66

Maldives: 82, with 28 missing.

Myanmar: 59, according to government report.

Tanzania: 10

Bangladesh: 2

Somalia: 114, according to U.N. reports

Kenya: Kenyan media reports one death.

Seychelles: Unconfirmed reports of deaths.
