I can burn a Full DVD+R at 8X in approx. 8 minutes with my Plextor. All of this and I'm only using 4X media. Not too bad.

I bought a Plextor 708A 8X burner last year at this time and think it's plenty fast. ABout 2 months ago it started putting a scratch at the outside edge of dvd media. Plextor replaced it immediagtely with a new one, no quetsions asked. I was impressed by their replacement policy.

I got this one a while back, Has done me well so far.
