This program still has problems with it's search facility...

They are going to try to fix it in the later beta's

So far I have downloaded several avi's and downloads even using their proxy stealth mode have been very fast indeed....

A typical download of a 700mb file takes on average 3 hours.

If you want to test it out the best thing to do, in movies for example is to input nothing, and it will come up with alfabetical avi links...

Click on some of the links and test out the downloads...

Remember to register on their forum, in this way you can input the latest proxy lists. Each day there are at least 300 proxies which you can download... Just cut and past them into advanced settings and off you go....!!!

PS:

When you register on the forums, you can get access straight away.

More like 1 hr, if the sources are good B)

I had to try it, to see if it was of any use, and it seems like a nice program that needs just a little more work.

Disclaimer :
I have a legally bought original of the movies I downloaded, the downloads will be used for backup purposes.

I don't doubt that for a moment.

My interest in this system is being able to work with people in different dorms and to create a system where people can download review material for exams, that other students have made up.

IRC is out :( Way to confusing for students who HATE computers, I'm sure we all have those techless people in our lives. :):) It would not be the same without them. :(
FTP is almost out..
HTTP could be in, but I need to look @ SharePoint implementation w/ my school.
eDonkey.. out :( Not secure enough, even with private distro hubs, people can still surf in and out. :(

ES5 seems like the solution, FREE, that I, and probably others, have been waiting for. I'm already registered @ the forum too.

You are right bearcat, with good sources
I too have downloaded in about 1 hour...

Actually, it took an average of 3 hours because I was downloading 2 700mb files at the same time B)

This sounds really good and just what I need.

To start with I was using emule to share files and was caught by my ISP for sharing a certain file which was a bad quality one I had clicked by mistake and had already canceled when I recieved the email

Then I looked for safer alternatives and used shareaza with peerguardian and kept updating the ip lists but even so 2 days ago a letter from my ISP was waiting for me about another file they had detected me sharing. I thought I would be safe with peerguardian but it seems they can still get through. But funnily enough the file they cought me sharing was one which was 700mb and there never seemed to be any sources for it, maybe that was why (had been downloading it for weeks and was only 1% done)

Anyway thanks a lot Italiano
