smartin: all i have done is set the user up in active directory. so i assume it is using the standard policies.
do you know anywhere on the net i can get a guide to which policies should be taken out? cheers |
It's ok everyone, I have fixed the problem!!
It was all running slow because I hadn't set the DNS correctly. Reran the DNS Server setup wizard and it's all shweeeet now. Client pcs log on very quickly now. Many thanks for everyones help. Cheers |
Good thing, nice troubleshooting..., I remember that there is some issue when a workstation is logging on a domain, if the server or the workstation is not properly configured with a the DNS this slowness will occur upon logging in...
