Jeepers, this must be the true Beta spirit showing off in this thread... A pre-release of a SP making all this fuzz? Where did I loose my eager to test beta packages?

Just a quick question thanks.

Has the Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 intergrated into this?

No, they havent intergrated any .NET Frameworks into it- you have to download them seprately.

@unicorn- I'm suprised at you!!! Don't you want to make your already unstable XP system crash repeatedly and refuse to allow you to use your right mouse button?? Don't you want the wacky and new faults built into all your fav MS apps?? lol ;)

The update page is working now "v5". There are 5 "critical updates"

I always receive error messages :(

rikytik 24th Dec 03 10:24 PM

The updates have notes on them saying it is not advised to install them on your principle computer. Hmmm. You can't uninstall the beta hotfixes. They are referred to as Critical updates to the beta version

Hmmmm.

They are test packages only- they are to test wether WU is working correctly :D

I have updates numbered 1,2,5,7,8 and 9.
You should be able to uninstall some or all of them via
Add and Remove in Control Panel.

Funny, I didn't see any unistall lines in Control Panel. I got nervous and restored an image on my laptop. Of course, later that evening, I installed Xandros 2.0 on the laptop, and maybe won't even use Windows XP anymore on the laptop. <heh heh>

MS has finally fixed the "passport" problems on certain accounts.....Including mine....So I am a happy bunny....Finally downloaded the "official" releases and will be playing with them in the next couple of days......
